3. Don’t beat yourself up.
In life, you are going to fail.
Not one of us is perfect.
No amount of hard work guarantees 100% success.
So, what do we do when we fail?
Well, traditionally, what we want to do is beat ourselves up and feel like failures. We pour time and energy into a project and it doesn't work out and we instantly take it out on ourselves not being good enough. The truth is that failure is often a necessary step to success.
If we are not failing we are not trying. Failure is always an option. Sometimes it's the only option and we can't see it until it's on top of us. But that failure is only a true failure if we don't use it to grow. When we use failure as an opportunity for self loathing, then it becomes a failure.
We are not defined by our failures, but our success sometimes are.
The truth is that failure should become a stepping stone to success. It's not a chance for self loathing, but rather an opportunity for self-evaluation.
Life is too short to not grow. When we feel sorry for ourselves we stop progress. Stop beating yourself up and start building yourself up. Don't run from failure, but embrace it as a necessary step in success. When you fail, embrace it as a lesson. Learn from you failures. Let them drive you towards success.
Today, don't allow the fear of failure stop you from progressing. Hit those fears head on and own your failures. Let them be a part of your success story.
